Luxe Bridal Inspiration at Cheshire's Historic Adlington Hall

Adlington Hall Estate and Gardens, one of the most beautiful, privately owned country homes in Cheshire, with it's intriguing history (Handel is rumoured to have stayed here and played the 17th century organ in the main hall), its beautiful formal and wild gardens, unique features such as the imposing mythological mural taking up a full wall, huge marble fireplaces and a panelled ceiling featuring the Coats of Arms of other prominent Cheshire families, set the tone for this stunning, luxurious styled wedding shoot.

Through re-imagining the estate's past as a hunting lodge, and venue of note for North West society, whilst using it's rich décor to inspire a colour palette of coppers, berries and deep fern-like greens, a collection of the region's finest wedding suppliers came together under my direction, to plan this delicious, high-society styled wedding shoot.

Channelling the feel of a turn of the 20th-century Agatha Christie-esque gathering of Cheshire’s landed gentry, everything from the rich florals by The Flower House Cheshire, to the glamorous flutter sleeved, Charmeuse silk Justin Alexander gown supplied by 7th Heaven Bridal, worked to turn the vintage glamour vibe to max.

Huge creds to Philip 'Eeyore' Eagland, of Zap Image for his ability to capture the depth of the saturated colours in the hall's Main Hall and Drawing Room, alongside the sweeping landscapes surrounding the venue. The very reason I chose the man for this shoot was his ability to consistently deliver those things in his wedding photography, and I think you'll agree, he more than fulfilled the brief...

Adlington Hall really is a breath-taking venue, with the most interesting architectural features (a wall supported by petrified Oak trees anyone?!); gorgeous gardens featuring seventeenth century follies and an English yew maze; and the most accommodating team that I've ever met on a styled shoot - thank you Bridget for saying 'yes', more than 'no', and for being so passionately knowledgeable about the hall.

Get ready to swoon your way through this inspiration and picture yourself as the glittering hosts of a gathering that may well end up in Adlington's history books...
